Breaking Boundaries is a ten-panel, three-dimensional, journal-laden oil collage that created itself through me in 1991.
The art piece was first titled "Bittin's Peace: Seven Inner Women" as it initailly emerged as a reflective recovery piece for me.
In January 1993, the exhibit "Tree to Tree: Recovery Transformation" came together after listing to others with TBI and feeling my place in the world. "Bittin's Peace" was the Exhibits Grand Finale.
Soon the art piece changed names to "Breaking Bouandaries" as it began to represent the millions of people who sustain and live with a TBI around the globe.
This section exhibits various view of the art pieces - the first three image to the right, as well as my journal writings and repsonses (up to 1995) in full detail.
